Global Product Manager -

Process Consumables

(m/f/d) 


 The Global Product Manager – Process Consumables will be responsible for the global business strategy of the Process Consumables product portfolio. He/she will oversee the business planning and the strategic growth initiatives for the respective products in the portfolio. This includes responsibilities associated with (1) product lifecycle, (2) product/customer requirements and priorities, (3) product/portfolio competitiveness, (4) product pricing and profitability, (5) new product initiatives, (6) organic and inorganic business/technology development, and (7) technical collaborations and joint-development initiatives. The Product Manager will work closely with the other Global Product Managers, Regional Product Management, Application Development, Research and Development, Quality and Regulatory Affairs, Operations, and Marketing Communication and Branding to ensure all global teams are aligned. Additionally, he/she will support the regional commercial teams by providing guidance and input into the sales and support processes. The objectives of the role are to ensure the right products are developed, visibility in the market is achieved, and revenue targets and customer satisfaction goals are met. 

 The Product Manager is expected to

  • Manage the product life cycle of Process Consumables 
  • Act as the product champion within and outside the company 
  • Develop the core positioning and messaging for the product 
  • Coordinate the development of new products and the improvement of existing ones 
  • Be a driving force for Mergers & Acquisitions, Partnerships, and Co-marketing Opportunities 
  • Align the product portfolio strategy with the strategy of the other product lines 
  • Provide directions for regional activities and initiatives and ensure their alignment with the global strategy 
  • Monitor the competitive and technology landscape 
  • Set pricing to achieve revenue and profitability goals and build global forecasts 
  • Develop sales and marketing tools and collateral 
  • Propose an overall budget to ensure success 

Requirements: 

  • Minimum of 5-year experience in Product Management, Product Marketing, or equivalent, and a minimum of 2-year experience in a strategic/global position 
  • Demonstrated success in driving revenue and developing impactful products 
  • Experience in the bioprocess market, experience in chromatography is a plus 
  • Degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Bioprocessing, Chemistry, or Engineering; MBA and/or Ph.D. is a plus 
  • Excellent teamwork skills in a remote environment 
  • Experience in working in cross-functional (matrix) and multi-cultural context is a plus 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; further languages are a plus 
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional international teams without formal authority 
  • Must be able to travel 30% of the time
