TOYOPEARL SP-650
TOYOPEARL SP-650 is a strong cation exchange resin for biomolecule purification. It is composed of polymethacrylate beads that have been functionalized with Sulfopropyl (SP) strong cation exchange groups. TOYOPEARL SP-650 has high chemical and mechanical stability, allowing cleaning-in-place (CIP) and very high flow rates.
TOYOPEARL SP-650 can be used for high throughput capture, intermediate purification, and polishing process steps. TOYOPEARL SP-650 is available in three particle sizes: 100 µm (C-grade), 65 µm (M-grade), and 35 µm (S-grade) respectively. If greater resolution is needed, the smaller particle TSKgel SP-5PW media may be used. As both the TOYOPEARL SP-650 and TSKgel SP-5PW resins use the same ligand, the selectivity will be unchanged.
TOYOPEARL SP-650 exhibits typical dynamic binding capacities for lysozyme of 50 g/L (S-grade, M-grade) and 45 g/L (C-grade). It maintains capacity at increased linear velocities and has good pressure-flow characteristics.
