Antibody Drug Conjugate (ADC)
Antibody Drug Conjugates (ADCs) are one of the latest developments in the area of antibody related drugs. A monoclonal antibody serves as vehicle to transport a highly potent drug to a target cell. Small molecular weight active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) are linked to the antibody using various strategies. The resulting ADC needs to be qualified with regard to the Drug-to-Antibody Ratio (DAR). For the antibody itself those methods presented under ‘Antibody’ are applied for purification and analysis.
