The TSKgel SuperHM-M mixed bed GPC column is packed with rigid, multiple pore size, polymer beads that are blended to provide an extended linear calibration curve. Mixed bed columns are commonly used for unknown samples and for the analysis of polymers with a broad molecular weight distribution. This column provides high resolution of polymers with molar masses of less than 4 x 108.
The maximum operating temperature for the TSKgel SuperHM-M column is 140 °C. This column is shipped in THF, which can be exchanged for a wide variety of organic solvents.
The TSKgel SuperHM-M column is a high efficiency/high throughput version of the conventional TSKgel GMHHR-M column. Both column types are based on the same bead chemistry. The volume of the 6 mm ID × 15 cm TSKgel SuperHM-M column is 3.4 times smaller than that of a conventional 7.8 mm ID × 30 cm column. As a result, peak volumes will be proportionally smaller on this column compared to a corresponding TSKgel HHR column. Thus, your HPLC system may require optimization of components that can give rise to extra-column band broadening, such as connecting tubing, injector, injection volume, detector cell volume, and detector time constant. EcoSEC GPC systems are already optimized for semi-micro SEC/GPC applications and can be used without further modification.
